The Splashis Peep Toe Slingback Platform Sandals put a stiletto heel over a platform, with a bow at the toe and a slingback strap at the heel. The platform is what makes the heel height wearable through an evening. Black, EU sizes 36 to 40.

Best for:
Start with the platform height, since it offsets the heel: a 10 cm heel over a 3 cm platform puts your foot at roughly the angle of a 7 cm heel, which is the difference between an hour and an evening. Check the slingback strap, as it is what stops the foot sliding forward onto the toes. Consider the peep toe, because an open front gives a little room where a closed court presses. Finally, look at the outsole, as rubber grips a polished venue floor where a smooth sole slips.
Midi dresses, tailored trousers and skirts. Black is the only colourway, which makes them the easy choice under almost any evening outfit, and the bow supplies enough detail on its own.
