The Splashis Round-Toe Platform Sneakers sit on a thick platform sole that adds height without a heel, so the extra lift comes with a flat, stable footbed. The upper is PU leather and the sole combines rubber with lighter EVA. They run true to size, in Beige, White, Blue and Black, sizes 35 to 43.

Best for:
Start with sole weight, since a heavy platform tires the legs faster than it looks like it should; an EVA component keeps it lighter. Check that the footbed is flat, because a platform with a hidden internal slope behaves like a heel. Think about hem length, as a thick sole changes where your trousers break and may make a favourite pair look short. Finally, look at the sole edge, which shows scuffs quickly on pale colours.
Straight or wide-leg jeans, midi skirts and dresses all work, and the sole gives a sporty contrast against something more feminine. Beige and White keep it light for summer; Black and Blue carry through the colder months.
Wipe the uppers and the sole edge with a soft, slightly damp cloth, paying attention to the white sole trim where marks show first. Do not machine wash. Dry at room temperature rather than near a radiator, as heat can separate glued sole layers.
