A long sleeve top in an all-over butterfly print, with a V-neckline and soft pleating that gives the body movement. It is a finished outfit on its own — add plain trousers or jeans and you are done.

Pleating is the detail that separates this from a plain printed top. The folds give the fabric somewhere to go, so the top moves as you walk instead of hanging flat, and the extra room through the body means it skims rather than clings. The V-neckline keeps the front open and balances the volume below it. The butterfly print runs over the whole garment, which makes the top the single decision in an outfit — pair it with black, denim, cream or khaki and nothing else is needed. The fabric is a lightweight weave that drapes well and hides travel creases, so it is an easy thing to pack. Long sleeves make it wearable for most of the year: on its own in spring and autumn, under a cardigan, blazer or coat when it gets colder.
Best for:
Light and decorative. The butterfly motif keeps the pattern playful rather than formal, the pleating adds softness, and the V-neck lengthens the neckline. It reads as dressed-up without being fussy.
Wear it loose over straight-leg black trousers with flat sandals or loafers for daytime. Tuck the front into high-waisted jeans and leave the back out for a relaxed line. For cooler days, layer a plain cardigan or a tailored blazer on top and let the sleeves show. Keep jewellery minimal — a small pendant in the V is enough — and keep the rest of the outfit plain so the print stays the focus.
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with similar colours, inside out to protect the print. Do not bleach. Tumble dry on low or hang to dry — hanging helps the pleats fall back into place. Cool iron on the reverse if needed, avoiding heavy pressure on the pleated panels.
